Information We Collect
Information About You and Your Pet/s. When you become a member of the ComeOverRover.com community of pet lovers, we collect a wide variety of personally identifying information (PII) and non-personally identifying information (non-PII) about you and your pet/s in order to match owners, hosts and pet foster parents for the exclusive intent of exchanging pet care services. PII consists of any information which can be used to specifically identify you as an individual. Most of the information is collected on forms that you complete on the Site buy completing Your Profile and Your Pet/s’ Profiles. Information may also be collected from feedback that other ComeOverRover.com community members provide on the Site. The information we collect may include: email, physical contact information, information you provide in answer to our questionnaire, and other information specific to the service requested or provided. Prior to becoming a ComeOverRover.com member we collect email and limited contact information to assist you with the registration process.
Purchase Information. To process purchases, we may require your name, address, phone number, email address and credit card information. Credit card transactions are processed by a third party, which only uses your information for that purpose.
Refer Your Friends. We encourage you to refer friends to ComeOverRover.com by completing the “Refer a Friend” form on the Site. We will keep this information in our database, and send your friends e-mails containing your name and inviting them to visit our site. This e-mail will also include instructions on how to remove their information from our database. You agree that you will not abuse this feature by entering names and addresses of those who would not be interested in the ComeOverRover.com community.
Online Survey Data. We encourage our community members to participate in our voluntary surveys because they provide us with important information that may be used to improve Site content and how the community interacts, among other things.
Cookies, Log Files and Other Technical Information. Any time you visit any of our websites, our servers automatically gather information from your browser (such as your IP addresses, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks) to analyze trends, administer the site, prevent fraud, track visitor movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information. We use your personal information to: provide the information for potential matches you and other community members choose; resolve disputes, collect fees, provide customer support and troubleshoot problems; customize, measure and improve our content and advertising; tell you about our community, community updates, and promotional offers based on the communication preferences you specify in the "Settings" link after you login to the Site.
Any other purpose which promotes our site. We reserve the right to sell any information we obtain.
Information We Disclose
There are two instances where we disclose information about you and your pet:
- Your public profile – this information may be seen by members and non-members who search for care exchange matches close to their zip code. This information is limited to, your photo and your pet/s’ photo (if you chose to provide it), your pet/s’ name, you first name and first initial of last name, you and your pet/s’ personality statement, your pet/s’ age and breed, your education level, your zip code, your feedback star/bone rating from other community members and red flags if members have logged a dispute about you or your pet/s’, and a depiction of your scale of care exchange. We reserve the right to disclose additional information if we reasonably believe it will promote the purpose of the website.
- Your connection information – this information should only be seen by the members with whom you agree to connect to exchange pet care services. This information is limited to: your full name, email address, phone number and address. We reserve the right to disclose additional information if we reasonably believe it will promote the purpose of the website.
Updating Your and Your Pet/s’ Personal Information
You can see, review and change most of your and your pet/s’ personal information by signing on to your ComeOverRover.com member account and using the link to "Your Profile" and "Your Pet's Profile". If you no longer wish to participate in our community you may email info@comeoverrover.com and request that your account be closed. Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view.
Third Parties
This Web Privacy Policy addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. If you disclose your information to others on our Site, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the information you disclose to them. We do not control the privacy policies of third parties, and you are subject to the privacy policies of those third parties where applicable.
Marketing
We may sell information we collect to third parties for their marketing purposes. We may combine your information with information we collect from other companies and use it to improve and personalize our services, content and advertising. If you don't wish to receive marketing communications from us or participate in our ad-customization programs, you should log into your member account and use the link to the “Settings” section to update your preferences.

Given that no information transmitted over the Internet can be guaranteed 100% secure, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information transmitted to us over the Internet and hence accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure.
Your password is key to your account; therefore you also play a valuable role in data security. If you feel your password has been compromised, you should log into your member account and use the link to the "Settings" section to change it immediately. In addition, after you have finished using ComeOverRover.com , you should log out of your account and exit your browser.
